From sunset to sunrise, we'll follow our animal expert host, Brandon McMillan, on a global search for answers: What does it mean to be nocturnal? Where do nocturnal creatures exist? And why do they scare us to death?Panthers - Brandon journeys into the twisted labyrinth of the Florida Everglades on a quest to find the Florida Panther, a creature so elusive it has never been filmed at night. Crocs - Brandon sets off into the Florida Everglades to find one of the world's most important predators, the American Crocodile. Brandon canoes off through the mangrove forest where a crocodile attacks his boat and he and his crew barely escape with their lives. Red Wolves - Wildlife biologist Michael Morse teaches Brandon to howl while the two search for red wolves on the hunt. When a pack of red wolves finally answers Brandon's call, he ventures out into the forest and witness the rare sight of wolves at at a fresh kill. Bats - Brandon travels to the remote jungles of Peru to find Vampire Bats. After much searching, their patience is rewarded as they capture a vampire bat in their net and examine its unique nocturnal traits. Caiman - The rivers of the Peruvian jungle play host to Brandon and his crew as they search for the elusive Black Caiman, one of the area's most aggressive predators. Brandon spots a caiman from the boat and manages to get his hands on this mysterious prehistoric creature. Fer-de-Lance - Brandon heads deep into the Amazon jungle at night in search of one of the deadliest snakes in the world, the Fer-de-Lance. Night Monkeys - In the deep jungle of Peru, Brandon meets up with night monkey expert Ricardo Sanchez to try and find the rare creatures. Coyote - Setting up a vantage point high above the creek, Brandon waits until the dead of night when a coyote quietly picks his way through the brush and the crew captures it on film. Squid - Brandon meets up with squid expert Scott Cassell to night dive with the dangerous Humboldt Squid. On their first dive, Brandon and Scott capture a large Humboldt, but Brandon must retreat to the surface when he runs out of air.Sharks - After a risky night cage dive, Brandon and Eli get into the water and dive amongst a feeding frenzy of vicious lemon sharks.
